Mirai-chan~

I haven't introduced you all to Mirai-chan! She is my very own BJD! (Ball jointed doll) I purchased her off of an Asian website called Aliexpress and she is the cutest little thing! I've been practicing my photography so I could take half decent pictures of her, and I think I've improved a lot since I began, though I only started six months ago. And now, with out further ado, Mirai!

Love Nikki

Alright, since I've already blogged once today, let's go again! I'm on a roll! Anyway, this review goes to a game I started playing because I wanted a fashion game to play after Cocodolls. It was glowingly recommended in the reviews of Cocodolls, so I took a peek at what everyone was raving about.

It is a nostalgic, romantic, delicate feeling game that focuses on a girl named Nikki. You use fashion to win competitions against other stylists. The storyline is cute and the clothes... well, they are so beautiful! I still use them for inspiration for my drawings even though I've stopped playing Love Nikki. The layout of the game is a little confusing at first, but after you get used to it, it's not a problem. Really though, the outfits are stunning, and I would give this game five stars if it weren't for the fact that the clothes can be... very revealing.

I highly value modesty, and so this was a big minus for me. Most fashion games, I can let this slide as I can choose whether or not to dress my character or others in these particular outfits, but in Love Nikki, the story mode requires you to make/ buy certain clothes and you can't progress without doing so. If you don't care about such things, I say this game is perfect for you, but if you do, think a bit before downloading.

Weekender Girl

Today, I'm going to recommend one of my favorite songs. The name is Weekender Girl feat. Hatsune Miku, and honestly, it was the very first Vocaloid song I ever heard, and it made me fall in love instantly. Despite this, I only recently purchased it, but still love it just as much! They lyrics are really fun. To me, they're all about not worrying all the time or letting life get you down, and instead having fun when you can and enjoying life. Miku's voice is really cute, and this song highlights the sweet tones of her singing. Livetune and Hachioji P are some of my most favorite Vocaloid artists! Kudos to them both!

(Notice: In this video Miku changes costumes and a few of them show some stomach. This notice is just in case you want to avoid that sort of thing.)

Pink or Black

Time for another song review! This song is called Pink or Black feat. Hatsune Miku. It took me a while to realize that this song is in English. The song concept is that every girl has two sides, pink or black, angel or devil, and you can choose either one. The music video features an anime called Six Heart Princess. The song is also an advertisement for makeup company Shu Uemura's Six Heart Princess collection. I got this song recently and love it! 5/5! (Here are the lyrics.) ♡

Note: The word henshin means transform or change.

Lyrics

There are two of me inside myself
One's an angel while the other's a devil
But that's how I am, who I am
Would you bless me for who I am?

Pink or Black? Which do you like?
The Magic reveals your another self.
Pink or Black? Henshin my style.
You can become anything

It's Magic
Fantastic
na Magic
It's Magic

There are two of me inside myself
Me in heaven and another down in hell
But that's how I am, who I am
Would you not forsake me for who I am?

Pink or Black? Which do you like?
The Magic reveals your another self.
Pink or Black? Henshin my style.
You can become anything

It's Magic
Fantastic
na Magic
It's Magic

Just like the birth of a universe, with pink I am reborn
I'll trap you inside a black hole with my black
I know myself, yeah

Pink or Black? Which do you like?
Pink or Black? Henshin my style

Pink or Black? Which do you like?
The Magic reveals your another self.
Pink or Black? Henshin my style.
You can become anything

It's Magic
Fantastic
na Magic
It's Magic

It's Magic

BJDs!

I haven't talked about it much, but I've decided that I'd like to get a ball jointed doll of my own. Other people collect so many and have big BJD families. I don't think I could do that because if I had more than one BJD, I would pick favorites and the not favorite one would get offended. (Speaking from experience...) But back to the subject at hand, it could take a while to actually aquire one. Finding one I like, gathering the money together, (BJDs are expensive!) and shipping time... sigh. Well, it will be worth it! They are the coolest things ever! You have to be very careful as they are delicate, but I'm willing to care for one. They are just so cute! ♡

Explaining Time

I forgot to explain what a Vocaloid is! To put it simply, they are anime characters with computer voices. People take samples of a human's voice and use it as a base for a completely new voice. Other people then get the voice banks and make songs with them. There is a lot more to it than that. There are many Vocaloids, for example, Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, the Kagamine Twins, and Kasane Teto (who is made by a different software but is the same thing.) There are live Vocaloid performances which they do by projecting the character's avatar onto a piece of glass on stage. The Vocaloids also have, sort of a backstory or something in the video game, Project Diva. They come from a world where music no longer exsists and their mission is to bring music back to their world. It makes sense, then, that Hatsune Miku's name means first sound. This has been a little lecture on Vocaloids. Thank you for reading.♡

Megurine Luka: Pink hair, black costume. ♀
Hatsune Miku: Turquoise hair in pigtails. ♀
Kagamine Len: Spikey yellow hair. ♂
Kagamine Rin: Yellow hair, white bow. ♀
Meiko: Red costume, brown hair. ♀
Kaito: Blue hair. ♂

(I just thought I'd include a song called Decorator, and only Miku sings, but during the last chorus the other Vocaloids come in to dance with her, so here you go!)
